Hi, I’m Holly – the human behind the lens at Holly Freja Pet Photography!

Originally from Essex, I made the leap to Warrington in 2022, bringing my camera, creativity, and an endless love for animals with me. If it’s furry, fluffy, slobbery, or has a tail that won’t stop wagging – I’m already obsessed.

My love for pet photography started with, well... pets! Growing up with dogs taught me just how special those everyday moments are — the slobbery kisses, the soulful eyes, the zoomies in the garden. I’m here to turn all that heart-bursting joy into photos you’ll treasure forever.

Before I was chasing pets around with a camera, I was in the world of school photography (starting in quality control, then diving into photo editing), product photography for an ironmongery company, and creating beautiful e-commerce and lifestyle images for a gift and retail supplier in Manchester. Let’s just say I’ve had a camera in my hand for a while now — and I love using those years of experience to bring your pet’s personality to life.

Whether we’re out exploring the great outdoors or creating cozy studio-style magic in your home, I’m all about capturing your pet’s one-of-a-kind spark.

And Behind the Scenes

Ethan and I have been a team since 2022, and we got engaged in March 2023 - hooray! Not long after we met, he started tagging along on photo shoots, and before we knew it, he became my right-hand man (and resident snack carrier).

These days, Ethan joins me on most sessions and is an absolute superstar behind the scenes. From setting up gear to helping wrangle wiggly pups, he keeps everything running smoothly. He's now known for his role as Chief Puppy Wrangler when we’re photographing litters — trust me, it’s a real title and a very real talent!

What to Expect on the Day 🐾 Outdoor Sessions

If your pet loves sniffing the breeze, chasing leaves, or just vibing in the great outdoors, then an outdoor session is the perfect choice - these shoots are all about capturing your pet in their natural element.

Before the session, we’ll chat and pick a location that suits your pet’s personality — whether it’s a favourite park, a quiet woodland trail, or a scenic open space where they can be their true, tail-wagging self.

On the day, we’ll take our time. We'll work at your pet’s pace, letting their personality shine through in every frame. I also photograph your pets with or without leads, so it’s no problem if your pet can’t be off-leash.

Outdoor sessions are all about movement, freedom, and capturing those candid, joy-filled moments that only nature (and your pet!) can bring. Whether it's a casual stroll or a full-on play session, we’ll create a collection of beautiful images that reflect your pet’s spirit and your special bond.

What to Expect on the Day 🐾 Studio Sessions

One of the best things about a photo session with me? I bring the entire photography experience straight to your doorstep! No stressful car rides, no unfamiliar places — just a relaxed, personalised shoot in the comfort of your own home, where your pet feels happiest.

When I arrive, I’ll bring my portable studio setup — lights, camera, and your choice of two backdrops — all ready to go. Shooting in their familiar space helps your pet stay calm and comfy, which means more natural, joyful photos.

Before we even start snapping, I’ll take a little time to get to know both of you. I want your pet to feel like they’re just hanging out with a new friend — not being rushed into posing for a camera.

Got a favourite toy, cute outfit, or prop you'd love to include? Amazing! I absolutely encourage adding those personal touches that make your pet and your session totally unique.

From start to finish, my goal is to make the experience fun, laid-back, and full of tail wags. It’s all about celebrating your pet’s one-of-a-kind charm and capturing memories that feel just as special as your bond.

I went on Monday with my very wild 1 year old dachshund who has selective hearing at the best of times, let alone when you want him to sit in one place! Holly took her time with him and let him get to know the place and have a sniff round and play with her dogs toys! She gave me options for different back drop colours which was really good as I was able to chose ones that would work well on my green walls at home and also match my wedding colours! She had a box full of accessories that we could use to get different themed photos too. Holly is so loving with dogs and you can tell how much she loves them and loves what she does.
